MRJ Impresses at Farnborough

The Mitsubishi Regional Jet's successful flight demonstrations at this year's Farnborough International Airshow vividly demonstrated the performance and value of the industry’s only clean-sheet design for the regional jet category.

There was no shortage of drama. Following Monday's successful flight demonstration, the MRJ’s radome was damaged by a tow vehicle operated by a local ground-handling company. But the aircraft triumphantly returned to Wednesday's flight schedule thanks to a heroic 36-hour effort by the global MRJ team, displaying the commitment, resilience and maturity of Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation as the aviation world looked on.

The MRJ's mission to deliver a new choice to market remained center stage throughout the airshow as Mitsubishi executives provided the latest program updates and a bright outlook for the MRJ as it moves closer to entering commercial service in mid-2020.

In the video above, see a recap of the highlights from this year's Farnborough International Airshow and join in the excitement as the countdown to discovering a new choice in regional aviation continues.
